Harare – It is an old myth that refuses to soften. Since the 20th century, baboon urine has been on the s.ex schedule in many bedrooms. The urine and beer concoction was trusted to endure s.exual pleasures and satisfy their women.

This fairytale helps to buttress how some men are willing to go an extra mile to please their spouses, oblivious of the resultant health setbacks.

Some Zimbabwean males are still convinced baboon urine can still release magic for their sexual exploits. Why? It is believed to treat hypertension, low sex drive among other alignments.

In an interview with the Mail and Guardian, Zimbabwe clinical pharmacologist Norman Nyazema dismissed these grounded beliefs. 

However, traditional men trust the Myalabris beetle – similar to the Spanish fly is the answer to a long lasting sexual pleasure. Sadly, users are prone to priapism – a medical condition that results from a prolonged and painful erection.

“It’s very common. People are obsessed with sex here,” Nyazema a urological lecturer, said then.

In a country were the economy is subsiding, low sex drive and mental illness often results, leading people to seek alternatives to enhance their bedroom lives. Cases of bread winners abandoning their homes due to overwhelming responsibilities are prevalent.

It is now known to the sexual active that with something on your mind, sprucing your sex life can be a taxing act. Committing adultery in a bid to fend for the family is on the increase, while erectile dysfunctional keeps rising.  

Frantic women in a bid to lure their elusive husbands back into their arms are manipulating every desperate trick prescribed by so-called experts. Baboon urine is a trusted concoction to instill faithfulness for an adulterous hubby because these primates always urinate in one place – just like humans?

Zimbabweans are not the only aphrodisiac innovators. The extinction of rhinos has been linked to the high demand of horns as a sexual stimulant.

Then there is the cobra. Meat and blood harvested from the deadly, poisonous reptile are highly esteemed in part of Asia. Blood mixed is mixed drinks, while meat is consumed as a delicacy.

Saving a sexual life doe not requires more gorging up cobra blood or baboon urine – why not indulge in health foods that will benefit you.
