John Comitis: Europe not Sundowns for Lebogang Manyama

Cape Town - Cape Town City FC boss John Comitis believes that Lebogang Manyama would rather move to Europe than Mamelodi Sundowns, who've shown an interest in his services.

Along with winger Aubrey Ngoma, Comitis has said that both players are currently not for sale as he is keen for them to stay with the Citizens for the 2017/18 season.

"My intention is to keep the entire squad together as far as possible," he told reporters.

"We live in a business environment and we understand that, but there is no intention of me offloading any players.

"If there is an offer from Europe, only because it gives a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the player, then I will consider it. Quite simple, I’ve said to Lebo that: ‘I’m certainly trying to find you a good club overseas, because you deserve the break.’

"It's got to be a realistic offer. Failing that he is still young, 26, and he's able to give me another good year and still go overseas."

Meanwhile, Cape Town City announced that Eric Tinkler has resigned as head coach with immediate effect. - Online Sources
