A siyeni Masandawana: Can Sundowns Make it CAF Champions Double

Even the absence of Khama Billiat through injury and Siyanda Zwane due to fasting – the Brazilians look set to roll past AS Vita Club in the CAF Champions League bout at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Already guaranteed a slot in the first knockout round of Africa’s premier tournament – and even aim for the top position, the current holders possess the ability to retain the crown – though their passage to the final will be tightly contested.

A probable mouthwatering encounter against African soccer giants Al Ahly Sporting Club from Egypt is in the offing for Masandawana in the later stages of the tournament.
Mamelodi Sundowns Aim to Win Another Champions Title

Urging supporters to flock to the stadium, Sundowns communications official Thulani Thuswa reiterated captain Hlompho Kekeana’s request.

“We know we can create the same vibe. We have done it before, so let’s go out there and make it a big day for the Tshwane Giants. The captain has asked for this and appealed for a high turnout. A siyeni Masandawana,” he said on the club’s website.

Meanwhile, PUMA, the official technical apparel partner of Mamelodi Sundowns, has unveiled the new 2017/18 Home and Away kits – paying tribute to the team’s “Brazilian” bloodline, under the global sports brand’s PLAY LOUD mantra.

A prominent feature is the latest design lettering of the BRAZILIANS, created in unique way inspired by African symbolism and embossed on both the Home and Away kits.

Brazilians is the nickname the reigning CAF Champions acquired by wearing the colours of the Brazilian national team.

“With this Bloodline kit we are honouring our loyal supporters, who have been our pillar of strength in good and bad times. This kit also honours our rich history as Bafana Ba Style,” Thuswa revealed.

The latest Brazilians’ wear now available in shops – will be unveiled on 7 July 2017 when they take on AS Vista in a CAF Championship encounter.
