Itumeleng Khune: Keeper's Recovery Boost for Chiefs, Bafana

Johannesburg – After Kiazer Chiefs’s goal minder, Itumeleng Khune was replaced by Edmore Chirambadare in goal through injury against Arrows– many fans were worried, because his recent top notch performance had benefited the Glamour Boys.

Chirambadare – a striker took over the goalpost after Steve Khompela had exhausted his substitution quota.

Fans and the technical team watched in disbelief as the captain was stretchered off the pitch during his team's goalless draw on Saturday after suffering what appeared to be a concussion.
Khune is Fit and Ready 

Komphela has more sidelined players through injuries – and Khune’s recovery is a huge boost, after his rich vein of form. Centreback Lorenzo Gordinho is nursing broken ribs suffered in training this week.

"It was a nervous performance, we were not as fluid, and played very sporadically," said Komphela.

Bafana Bafana coach, Stuart Baxter will be pleased as they prepare to face Burkina Faso in the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier on October 7. Khune missed Bafana's previous two matches against Cape Verde Islands due to a chest infection.
