Bobby Motaung: 'Qualified Coaches who are Quality are not Available'

Johannesburg - Bobby Motaung has revealed that quality coaches that suits their club are not available - hence it has taken them a while to appoint Steve Komphela's successor at Naturena.

Motaung somehow admitted that the coaches they targeted were not readily available but the search goes on, with Stuart Baxter who is tied to Bafana Bafana constantly mentioned.

"We have to make sure whoever we appoint understands the pressure that comes with the job. Unfortunately, more qualified coaches who are quality are not available.

"We are not going to go out just to make favours and appoint because we are under pressure. We will rather be patient and appoint the right person at the right time. So we are not going to make promises or succumb to pressure," said the manager.

"The issue of the coach is a very sensitive issue. If you check what transpired last year and the past three seasons as a club, the chairman [Kaizer Motaung] is obviously overseeing everything. We got to make sure about who ever we bring on board," Motaung said.

"So it is not an easy job. Kaizer Chiefs is not like a small club where we just appoint tomorrow. We've got to look at a lot of things.

"Firstly, it is about the players, management, change room management. It is about tactical awareness. It is about maturity, leadership and about supporters. Remember our fans have expectations. - Online Sources
