George Charamba: VP Chiwenga, Sibusiso Moyo in 'Good Health'

Harare - VP Chiwenga and Foreign Affairs minister Sibusiso Moyo, both reportedly admitted at top South African hospitals and are said to be in 'good health', according to presidential spokesman George Charamba, though some sections state otherwise.

“Both General Chiwenga and Amai Chiwenga are in good health. They have been cleared except for some little problems that were detected and have since been treated.

“The VP is very well and when I chatted with him he ended up barking orders to me in respect of Kanyemba projects and in respect of the Bulawayo Kraal project in Binga” Charamba said.

The Vice president is reported to have vomited during a recent cabinet meeting and then traveled to South Africa last week accompanied by wife Mary and deputy health minister Dr John Mangwiro.

Recent images of Chiwenga and wife Mary have shown them with visibly swollen hands in addition to their lightening skin which Chiwenga said was a side effect of cancer treatment.

Chiwenga is also said to be nursing a recurrent war injury which saw a bullet lodging in his lung, therefore he needs occasional medical reviews. Charamba confirmed Chiwenga was taken to South Africa together with his wife but they are now in a better condition.

According to Charamba, the medical review was related to injuries Chiwenga and wife sustained in the June bomb blast at Bulawayo’s White City Stadium

Meanwhile Sibusiso Moyo hasn’t been sighted in public for 3 weeks he was taken ill with a kidney related ailment. He was believed to have undergone corrective surgery before being flown to South Africa. - Online Sources
